Product Description

 

(1) Welding connection:

 

The advantage of welding connection is that it is convenient to process and solidly reliable. However, it has the disadvantages of large errors, easy deformation, difficult adjustment, poor aesthetics, and generally cannot be pre-plated. In addition, there are certain requirements for welding fixtures: Good rigidity, not affected by the deformation of the workpiece.

 

The outer dimension is slightly larger than the nominal dimension of the workpiece, which can compensate for the shrinkage after welding.

Flat, simple, and easy to operate, with as few rotating mechanisms as possible to avoid damage.

 

In order to prevent welding corrosion and facilitate inspection and adjustment, good support for the workpiece should be selected. The support should also be equipped with anti-welding corrosion pads.

 

The phenomenon of workpiece deformation after welding is caused by the stress generated when the heat-affected zone expands during welding, resulting in micro-displacement and cannot be reset after cooling. In order to overcome the deformation effect, shaping technology must be considered.

The methods of shaping generally include:

  • Predict the range of workpiece deformation through experiments, force the workpiece to deform in the opposite direction before welding, and hope to achieve the predetermined size after welding.
  • Use the overcorrection method after welding.
  • Use tapping or pressing to shrink the relative part after welding to achieve stress balance.
  • Heat the loose and convex parts after welding to achieve the same shrinkage as the welding area.
  • Perform overall heat treatment on the components if necessary.

In addition, the choice of welding points, the direction of the weld seam, the order of welding, and the positioning of spot welding all have a certain impact on the deformation phenomenon after welding. Proper treatment can reduce deformation, but this depends on the specific situation.

 

(2) Fastener connection:

 

The advantage of fastener connection is that it is suitable for pre-plating of the workpiece, easy to adjust, easy to beautify, and the parts can be standardized and designed. It can be pre-produced and stocked, and the dimensional error of the frame is small. The disadvantage is that it is not as strong as welding, and requires high precision of parts and relatively high processing costs. Fasteners are generally standard parts, including conventional screws, nuts, rivets, blind rivets, and pre-tightened clamping nuts that can be micro-adjusted, pre-tightened locking nuts, and self-tapping screws, etc. There are also special fastening screws (such as special fastening screws used in most low-voltage cabinets imported from abroad).

 

Process characteristics: Fix the shape with fixtures, position with fixtures, and add pressure washers as needed; riveting generally requires drilling, and pre-plated parts need to prevent the coating from being damaged; for components processed with precision machining centers or special equipment, if the diameter of each connection hole can maintain a slight gap with the diameter of the fastener, it can be assembled without fixtures and formed at one time; for fastening of guiding and positioning components, special gauges should be used for positioning and then checked with standard fixtures.
